Registration for the training will only be validated upon receipt of the application and when you have received a confirmation by email. Objectifs : 36% PhDs occupy Research & Development jobs and 50% of those who join the private sector start in R&D (CAREER project, 2011). However, many of them are unaware of the diversity of R&D professions and their denominations.
Objectives:
- Know the career opportunities in R&D
- Distinguish public and private R&D
- Prepare for recruitment Programme : MODULE 1: IDENTIFYING THE TRENDS OF RESEARCH LABOR MARKET IN FRANCE
• Know the main types of innovation actors and their weight in employment
• Understand the similarities and differences between Academic Research & Private Research
• Discover France's place on the international scene
MODULE 2: SEARCH & SELECT OFFERS
• Identify the variety of professions (R&D Engineer, technology watch manager, IP manager, method engineer, etc.)
• Understand the different job titles and related assignments
• Identify positions available to PhDs and possible career developments
• Identify the skills to be valued to access these jobs
• Understand the recruitment process
• Understand the role and structure of the ad
MODULE 3: ROUND TABLE OF TESTIMONIALS
• Doctors from different disciplines holding R&D positions
• Topics covered: career path, strategy to their current position, current position, assignments, assets of the PhD, advice for young PhDs
