Début du module : 15 novembre 2018
Date limite d'inscription : 12 novembre 2018

Objectifs :
The goal, for students of this course, will be to learn the fundamentals of signal restoration inverse problems with particular application areas in electronic imaging systems. Thus, our study is aimed primarily at the diverse issues of solving the inverse restoration problem given system output, model and some a priori knowledge about the desired solution. Hands-on examples and demonstration will be routinely used to close the gap between theory and practice. To make the best of this class, it is recommended that you are proficient in linear algebra; several programming examples will be provided in the form of Matlab templates, but you can use your favorite programming language to test the algorithms described in the course.

Programme :

Dates / horaires :
Jeudi 15 novembre 2018 de 13h30 à 16h30
Jeudi 22 novembre 2018 de 13h30 à 16h30

Pré-requis :
programming skills (matlab)

Equipe pédagogique :
Dr. Alejandro Castillo Atoche - Department of Mechatronics - Autonomous University of Yucatan Mexico - acastill@correo.uady.mx Alejandro Castillo Atoche was born in Merida city, MEXICO, in March 1977. He received his Ph.D. (2010) and M.Sc. (2002) degrees in electrical engineering from CINVESTAV Jalisco at Guadalajara, Mexico (Center of Research and Advanced Studies of I.P.N.) and a degree in electronic engineering from ITM (Merida Institute of Technology, 2000) in Mexico. Presently, he is a full professor and researcher of the Autonomous University of Yucatan. His research work is in applications of intelligent signal processing to remote sensing imagery, real-time systems applications, mixed signal processing, embedded systems, multiprocessors system on chips (MPSoC) and FPGA-based hardware/software co-design. He has published more than 60 papers in international journals and conferences on these topics.

Méthode pédagogique :
Signal restoration is the branch of engineering that encompasses the theory and practice of algorithms and hardware that restore signals from an observed degraded signal/image. In just a few decades, signal processing has become the heart of the digital revolution that brought us CDs, DVDs, MP3 players, mobile phones and countless other devices.

Compétences acquises à l'issue de la formation :
to understand and implement regularization principles for solving image inverse problems
